Today I got a personal phone call from the District Manager apologizing for the incident and my son will be getting back his money. Furthermore the store manager has been removed on administrative leave....
District manager Rhonda should be applauded for rectifying he situation. Talking with her has restored my faith in that company and I will resume my business there.
My name is ***, and I would like to report on the manager of the Dollar Tree in ***, *** (***). On March 29th of 2026, my 14-year-old son walked into Dollar Tree to purchase a few items. When he went to pay for the items, the manager took his $20 bill and said it was counterfeit. There was no marking of the bill with a pen; he simply said it was bad and took it. My 16-year-old son, who drove him there, then followed up and asked for the bill back, to which the manager responded by threatening him that there is a 10-year prison sentence for passing counterfeit money. Furthermore, he told him that he has done this 5 other times to various people. My underage sons were clearly intimidated, and the mistake they made was not calling me (a parent) or the police at that time. I found this situation out days later when I went to the ***, MN police department.
The police officer (street officer) said it was a civil issue and that there was nothing they could do. They did advise me to go back to the store and ask to see the police report since this was counterfeit money. I followed the advice of the police, and when confronting the store manager, he was highly defensive and was accusing me of being defensive. When I asked about seeing a police report and seeing the fake $20 bill, he said he didn't make a police report and gave the money to the local bank. I then asked for my son's 'supposed' counterfeit $20 bill back, and he refused to do this.
I am appalled at the unprofessionalism and absolute arrogance of this manager. He is not a trained police official, and from my view, it looks like he stole $20 from my son. There was no effort on his part to contact me when this happened. I am a regular patron of this Dollar Tree, but I will absolutely be taking my business elsewhere. I will also be further pursuing this matter with an actual police detective. At the advice of my former neighbor, retired FBI agent *** (who worked in financial crimes), I will continue to pursue this matter until it is resolved.
As a company, I am hoping you take appropriate action to resolve the situation, and I pray this kind of predatory behavior doesn't happen to anyone else in the future.

I'm an associate at the small store in [GEOGRAPHIC_DATA]. In [GEOGRAPHIC_DATA], I've asked several times for the district manager's corporate phone number from a manager that fills in from another store because we do not have a manager at this site.
Every time I asked [PERSON_NAME] for the number, she laughs in my face and walks away. I have complained to our merch manager that this fill-in manager has been targeting me and threatening me because I will follow the procedures and policies that I was trained to follow when it comes to shift change with the main cashier.
Also, she will not follow corporate policies when it comes to my register and the money I'm responsible for. As I was told, she is the boss there, so she does not have to follow any procedures or policies.

I am writing today to complain of the poor service I received from your company on April 30, 2026 around 8:30pm. I am most annoyed that I wasted my time shopping there last night.
Two checkout agents were at the corner upon my arrival. There was one person behind me. The item I were going to purchase had no barcode display on the product.
The agent realizes it was no barcode to scan so he throws it behind the corner instead of asking the second agent to go check the price.
I trust this is not the way your Company wishes to conduct business with valued customers. I wish your company take the time to provide customer service training to the staff so this prevent future situation from recurring.

I have been trying to contact someone about an incident that happened on 5/16 with one of your workers embarrassing my 13 and 11-year-old children, accusing them of stealing and then saying she was just playing after I said something to her about lying on my kids. We were humiliated all because she wanted to play. I told her I don't play like that; putting thief on someone's name is awful, and I am seeking legal counsel since no one has reached out after all the messages I've left since Monday.

No follow up on complaint no refund
- Charged $77.02 for the prior customer's bill instead of my $5 worth of items.
- Reached the store manager multiple times with no refund.
Somehow, a week ago while in line to pay, after the customer in front of me was finished, I walked up to the register. At this time, I had approximately $5 worth of stuff on the counter.
This trip to Dollar Tree ended up costing me $77.02, and I was charged for the customer in front of me's bill.
I have contacted the store manager numerous times with no response, refund, or anything for that matter. I'm not happy one jot.

The absolute worst shopping experience that I can't even put into words. Very inappropriate and unprofessional behavior by an employee and manager, making false accusations and false police reports to intentionally antagonize their paying customers.
They think it's funny and press the limits to see how far they can go. The manager lets her employee do this as she watches, not saying a word. She seems scared of her, so she isn't doing her job and sits back, listens, and agrees with her when she's making false accusations. The manager is allowing this, knowing it's false.
They have cameras, and cameras don't lie. As customers leave the store, this employee says, 'Have the night you deserve.' This is not acceptable in any way, shape, or form.
Employers, take responsibility for your employees and be a better, effective manager with a backbone. This is at the store in ***, ***, and these two girls work nights.
Preferred solution: An apology for the way my mom and I were treated. And for them to own up to the false accusations they made and take responsibility for their actions, security footage and employee discipline actions to be taken asap. Be better dollar tree

I wrote by Dollar Tree last night. There was only one manager in the store by herself isn’t that against company policy?

I think her name is *** isnt that against company policy she only works with one hand and a fractured collarbone.. is that allowed?4:30 am to 6:00 am. At this location there is a lot of holes store looks terrible not recovered when I looked back in the back room. The back room looks horrible.
This is the most disgusting store not clean not fully stopped. The manager needs to be audited and reviewed or Imma keep complaining. Address look at the address hopefully she wont see me.

I have been shopping at Dollar Tree for years. It's like a bad relationship that you keep hoping things will get better, but they don't.
I don't know where to start. I went into Dollar Tree to purchase a few snacks; I purchased 5 things. However, the sales associate rung up six. I didn't discover this until I left the store.
Ordinarily, I would have dismissed the action and taken a loss, but this continues to happen, and I have come to the conclusion that this is a willful action. Once, I came into the store and made a purchase with my pay card from my job and was talking to a customer and accidentally picked up a customer's wallet, which he had on the counter. However, I thought it was mine, forgetting mine was in my back pocket. Upon realizing the mistake, I apologized and handed the customer his wallet.
There were no hard feelings between us; we were laughing. I realized the wallet was not mine upon looking at it, so I never viewed the contents of the wallet. The store camera caught the footage, which proved I didn't take the wallet. However, the next thing I knew, one of my friends told me I was on 'NC BEAT' in my hair bonnet.
Upon seeing myself on NC BEAT, I went back to the store and asked to speak to a manager. My request was never granted. I called the police; they ignored the incident but didn't take the clip down. I have experienced nothing but abuse from this retailer who charges my card for my purchases while I am looking at the POS terminal saying, 'Approved,' and the sales associate tells me my transaction has been declined.
I asked for the receipt; she tells me it didn't go through, so there is no receipt. I have also experienced Dollar Tree associates telling me my card is declined or I have entered an invalid PIN. Ironically, when I go into another store, my card works perfectly fine. They take my money, decline my card, and don't credit the money back to my card.
Umm, I wonder how many customers they have done this to? No wonder these dollar stores keep going up faster than a cell can go through mitosis and replicate.
Note that the sales associate on the attached receipt is not responsible for all actions stated in my complaint; in fact, this was the first time I have ever had any interactions with her.

I went into the store to return 2 of the 37 items i purchased. Manager Chloe processed my return with no issue until I ask for my original receipt back.
She told me they had to keep it that it was store policy. I told her I needed the receipt. She said it was policy. I ask if she could make a copy of it and she said no.
I again asked why she couldn't copy it. She said I could take a picture of it. I didn't have my phone it was in the car. I again told her I needed the receipt.
She said no its store policy to keep it. I ask her to call customer service. She rolled her eyes, sighed and said I could google the number. I pointed out I didn't have my phone and I was not leaving without my receipt.
Please keep in mind the receipt was my personal property when I paid for my items and it was issued to me. She looked up a number and handed me the store phone saying its 7pm good luck. I almost fell over in shock for the manager to say that about her employers customer service department. I spoke with Ada on the phone number the manager called.
Ada said they weren't customer service that there was no customer service number she was online sales. I explained about my receipt and that the manager Chloe did give me the district managers name Tammy Harris but said she couldn't give me a phone number or email. During this entire process Chloe "manager of store" would smirk, laugh to herself , roll her eyes, shake her head no and tell me i couldn't have my receipt. I told Ada if Chloe kept smirking and shaking her head at me things were going to get worse.
Chloe said I feel threatened you threatened me do I need to call the police, there are witnesses pointing at the cashier. I ask Ada did you here me threaten her ' she didn't reply accept to apologize for the manager again who also at this point informed me she was not the store manager she was a manager. Umm other then more responsibilities doesn't manager mean your in charge of the store if the store manager isn't present or does Dollar Tree not have anyone in charge if the store manager isn't there? Anyway Ada gave me a email address for Dollar Tree and said she couldn't do anything else.
I tried educating the "manager chloe" that the receipt was my property and that i had to have it because the items were a charitable donation to a veterans home and tax code requires you have the actual receipt I even offered for her and Ada to look it up they said they couldn't do that. I finally wrote everything down as i had gotten my phone wrote Chloe manager on my original receipt which she told me I couldn't and I told her yes I could. I took pictures of the original receipt and the return receipt and left the store. I did loudly tell a woman that just came in I wouldn't shop here.
Childish I know but let's be honest your "manager" should be fired for this disaster. When I ask her if she could take a picture of my receipt with her phone and send it to me 5 minutes into the conversation she told me she wasn't comfortable with that. Well I wasn't comfortable giving my receipt to her to keep. Store policy requires receipt for a return to get a real refund not store credit.
I hope to hear from someone on 7/2 in the amount. 512-966-****go somewhere els
