Verified ReviewerThe service was horrible, poorly trained, rude employees who know nothing about the store's products.
I placed an order online and the store manager didn't know how to proceed to deliver the products to me. He didn't want to look for the products in stock and caused me a great deal of discomfort and trouble.

Dear Customer Service Department,
My name is Namandjé Anya, and I am writing to report an incident of unprofessional and disrespectful behavior by an employee at your store located at 4900 NC Hwy 55, Suite 400, Durham, NC (Store #2210) on April 3, 2025, at approximately 2:30 PM.
Upon entering the store, I was initially greeted politely by the cashier. However, I observed that the store was disorganized and difficult to navigate with a shopping basket.
Unable to find the item I needed, I returned to the front of the store, where a small group of shoppers were gathered around the shopping baskets.
I attempted to step aside to allow another shopper to select a basket. It was then I realized the individual was not a shopper but an employee. After waiting for her to finish, I intended to return my basket. She abruptly told me to simply leave it.
As I turned to leave, she said something I did not hear clearly. I paused and asked her to repeat herself, concerned I might have left something in my basket.
Instead of clarifying, she became agitated and accused me of attempting to hit her with my basket. This accusation is entirely false. She then mockingly wished me a "better day" and told me to leave the store.
I was deeply offended by her behavior, as I was simply attempting to return my basket in a considerate manner, given the store's cluttered state.
I then went outside to find corporate contact information on the store's windows.
The same employee then came outside, yelled the store's address at me, and again mockingly asked if I was "looking for the address." I informed her I was seeking a corporate phone number. She then led me back inside, stating to her colleagues, "These customers think we're not going to say anything because we're at work." She provided me with a receipt containing the store's phone number, which was not the information I requested.
I remained in the doorway and called the number on the receipt. When she answered the store phone, confirming I had reached the store, she threatened to call security. I insisted she do so and requested that the security footage be reviewed to verify my account and disprove her false accusations.
The employee continued to argue with me, and I eventually left the store.
I am extremely disappointed by the employee's behavior, which I found to be unprofessional, disrespectful, and unwarranted.
I believe her actions are a poor representation of your company. I request that you review the security footage of this incident and take appropriate action.
I would appreciate a response outlining the steps you will take to address this matter.

I was at the store shopping, and mind you, I am disabled and also have scoliosis, which prevents me from standing up straight. Also, I have tattoos on my face and skin care, but that should not matter.
I'm a customer and was shopping, but yet I was approached by the manager to be told that the female who was with me has stolen from the store before. I replied to her that I am not her just because I walked in with her. I'm not with her like that, but you guys let her in the store; that's not my job. I don’t know anything about that.
I was then asked if I was going to purchase the items that I was getting, and I said yes. When I asked for her name, she refused to give it to me. When I said, 'Well, who is your manager?' I was told she is the only manager of the store, that she is the top person I am able to speak to, the only person I can speak to. So I said, 'You own the store?' She said, 'Yes, I own the store,' which I know is not true.
She then proceeded to yell at me and call me a *** I got really upset over this. I was waiting in line at this point, and I was going to purchase my items. I had plenty of money on me; instead, I put my items down, and I'm not going to waste money in a store where I am being publicly embarrassed and discriminated against like that. She then continued to get in my face and wanted to fight me in front of other customers, telling me to come outside and fight her, knowing I'm disabled.
If this is the kind of employees that you guys hire, this is really sad, and I really hope something is done about this. Because if you have people treating customers like this, I don’t know what type of training you guys are giving them, but I was raised to have better manners than that, for one. And also, anytime I've had a job, especially as a manager, I would have never been able to hold my position while treating a customer like that and getting away with it.
Then, as I was deciding to walk out the door, I remembered I had to hand my bag to the worker when I came in. When I asked for my bag, I was told they gave it to the girl I came in with, to which I replied, 'Why would you give a bag I gave your employee myself to somebody else?' Now my house keys, my tablet, my earphones, and all my other items that cost a lot of money are now in someone else’s hands that were not theirs, and I have been unable to get them back thanks to your great employees that are so well trained.

Preferred solution: Not only an apology, but I would like my items back that were given to somebody else when I handed my bag to an employee because I was made too if I wanted to shop in the store I would need to hand my bag over so why is my bag given to someone else?

I was in your dollar store and line, and your manager threw away the things that I had on the belt. I told the customer behind me that I'll be right there and I'll be right back, so your manager threw away my stuff that I had on the belt.
He came out of his mouth rude, and I had headphones on, so I could barely hear him.

The store had merchandise on the floor, nasty floors, racks, and shelves empty. Couldn't walk through the aisles because of boxes on top of boxes just stacked on the floors.

First I apologize I was not planning on returning15 bags of your "decorative stones" I was planning on using them for a wedding shower vase decoration in March. I decided after the bride (my daughter) was killed in a car accident I no longer needed them.
I did not save my receipt. I purchased them about 3 weeks ago.
Anyway I went to return them today, I wasn't sure if I were elligable for a refund or not (since I did not have a receipt) but I thought under the circumstances possibly. Well I went to the store in Madison, TN. 6118.
I asked for some assistance with the possible return and the manager was so rude she didn't even listen to me.
I left the store and and told her to keep the stones.
SHE SAID THANK YOU FOR THE DONATION., Which I felt was a slap in the face.
Anyway. I do not want a refund just want you to know how your staff handles their customers.

I went to dollar tree today and I asked the price of a Red Bull and the employee said not 1.25$ I said well I didnt think that price but not to much he scanned it and he said 3$ I said oh no I can get cheaper he said well the price was on the door I said I didnt pay any attention. I said no I dont want that an he nimble something under his breath he threw my bag to me and I said Im not no dog I dont want it.
He was very rude and unprofessional if I had to deal with him I want be going back to dollar tree poor customer service and manager listen to my complaint and said he should not have thrown my bag.
Did I want somebody else to ring me up and I said no because thats was rude an embarrassing I have never been treated like that where Im spending my money and I shop there 3-4 times a week for 3-4 years. Its sad he should have called off of he wasnt feeling good to throw someone there bag an not in my hand on the counter just arrogant

Fui al Dollar Tree al lado de Walmart en Cartersville Georgia, y la cajera cerró la caja con la mitad de las cosas ya puestas y nos dijo que no podía atendernos a mí y a la otra persona que había de frente con un solo artículo y a la persona de atrás. Después llegó otra persona y a esa sí la atendió y cuando todos los que ella rechazó preguntaron por qué y mi esposo le dice a la cajera que por qué hizo eso, la gerente y la cajera empezaron a gritarnos y todos los clientes diciendo, 'pero mira es que fue una falta de respeto hacia todos hacia el señor' y ella nos gritó y nos sacó de la tienda. ¡Fue muy irrespetuoso!

Store won’t answer phone
The Coldwater, Michigan store 01178 needs to take customer service more seriously. They dont answer the phone.
Ive been in the store and witnessed the store manager many times chatting on her own personal phone while the cashier needs help checking out customers. Ive also over heard her berate an employee in front of customers.

I got a Green Dot card from Dollar Tree in Whitesburg, KY. I called to get it activated.
They said no transactions were made on the card. I want my $97.00 back.

I seriously doubt that she threatened to call security for no reason. A, normal person would wait until they got home to make the complaint. but you had to be a wise guy and call outside the front doors.
