I often shop at Dollar Tree but won't shop there during the pandemic because they do not require customers to wear masks. I understand they had a terrible incident in one store but they should have trained employees to deflect conflict and call police. Their company wont even attempt to require a mask to stop the spread of this virus . Dollar Tree is a bad corporate citizen. I don't feel safe going there.

Disappointed with Customer Service

It was my sons first birthday party and I had purchased 20 balloons online and called ahead to see if they would mind blowing them up for me at a cost. The man who answered the phone stated he would do them for free. I told him that I would be happy to pay but he insisted. I asked him if everyone would be aware when I brought them down on Sunday. He spoke with another manager and said it would be fine. My husband went down two hours before the party with cash in hand because we still wanted to pay. When he got there he was turned away saying that they do not blow up balloons that arent theirs. I reiterated over and over again that the balloons were bought on Amazon and were standard size. They did not budge on what was arranged ahead of time. I am absolutely disgusted and will not shop at that store ever again. I would have rather them say no several days ago when I called, not two hours before the party.

When dealing with stores that hire mostly unskilled workers, store policies often are over-looked or simply unknown to the employees. They know not what they don't know.

Thus, when you ask a question they give you an answer, any answer they think you want.

Find a neighbor that has an air compressor either in his garage or in the boot of his car to inflate a flat tire. Or, have the birthday guests help you inflate the balloons the old fashioned way as a part of the party.

Customer harrassment

I am a white female nurse. I went into store #5250 yesterday to buy some items.

The AA associate at the cashier was talking so loudly I could hear her across the store. When I approached to check out, I noticed that the cashier was wearing her mask inappropriately, which exposed her nostrils when she was talking to her colleague. I asked her to kindly pull the mask up to the proper level, and I showed her mine. I was dressed in scrubs, and assumed she would understand.

I nstead, it produced a screaming harangue from the colleague, who claimed to be store mgr, saying I was picking on the cashier, and she was wearing her mask properly. The "Manager" then proceeded to grab my items and asked if I wanted them or not... acting as if she would take them away. The cashier, whose name is Tonia, then rung me up and said "here you are Karen" I said that I was not Karen.

Then she says have "a good day, Karen". I am offended for having been treated this way!

Complaint against employee

On Aug. 2nd at this location 3225 Yosemite Blvd, Modesto, CA 95354 I arrived at 8:48pm. I pulled up right in front of the store . The 2 store associates from inside the building looked at me through the store windows waiving me down telling me not to come in by hand gestures. At 8:52pm the store asscocustes walked out. And the one with pig ta ok ls w ok uldbt give me her name and not tell me what the store hours are. I told here the hours on the door and on loo one says the store closed and 9pm and why are u closing 10 min prior. She said I dont know. With such an attitude . And mumbled something else, which I believe she cursed at me.

Why are none of your associates at the Dollar Tree Store in Faribault, MN wearing masks? It makes me very uncomfortable. I thought that it was mandated for employees. The spit screens they put up are also in the wrong place. I have to step past the screen to use my credit card putting myself and your employee at risk. I love Dollar Tree but this distresses me.

Rude And Disrespectful Cashier

Ok quick question has anyone ever been told they were not allowed back into a store because of their "coupons"...ok to start this off a few months back I went into a local $ tree in bowlinggreen ky 31 w bypass to be exact and I used some $1 off of 2 Jimmy dean product coupons I used the limit which was 4 to be exact but I used 4 of the 1 off 2 and 4 of the $1 off ome item coupons and the $1 off one item coupon went through but unknown to me bc I had got alot of items I was purchasing wo coupons as well...but I asked the cashier if all the coupons went through ok..mind u I was not over the limits of any of these coupons and was getting the stared items...but anyways I asked the cashier if the coupons went through bc I know at dollar tree it's a hut and miss w coupons sometimes they work and sometimes they dont..well the cashier assured me they worked but when I got my receipt I seen the $1 off one item coupon worked but the 1 off 2 items didnt which was crazy butt anyways I was just gon to let it go until the cashier said some smart remark that even if it didnt she wasnt gonna do anything about it and would not return my money..well that just struck a nerve bc first off I asked prior to be rang out if it worked bc if I hadn't I probaly would have took the items back to where I got them from and not got them being I was on a tight budget at the time being a single mother and the sole breadwinner..that's why I got into couponing to help me with items I purchase that were hard to afford ed. Well the cashier is snide and rude and says I already checked you out to bad I was wrong and said coupons worked when they didnt it's not my problem no refunds and come up w some lame excuse that I couldnt use the # of coupons I used which again was not over my limit on coupons at all..I had actually did the 4 1 off one item in my first transaction and then I had to grab paper plate which I had forgot to get along w grabbing few more things bc hey everything's $1 its hard to resist well I than realized I had the 4 $1 off 2 so decided to use them as well and she tried saying that they did not work after she again told me they did not said they didnt work bc I had used 4 coupons earlier 4 completely diff coupons mind u and I wasnt using any acct or number so how in the world if imo had been using 4 more of same coupons wld it have known it was me and I told her that was absurd and I had them call manager to give me my $ bak for whole purchase bc of her rudeness and smart remarks..well the young girl who was said to be manager said that the 1 off 2 jimmy dean coupons didnt work and I could use them than and she would fix it but not to ask to do it again..which I said no and got my $ bak for said items ..well I have been in this $ tree since here and there and use the occasional coupon nothing much literally maybe 6-8 coupons in a trip if that and I have had said manager ring me up...i have receipts from these transactions..well i go in there today and the cashier who I had the confrontation with says I have bn told not to come in there w my coupons anymore which is a lie and I was gonna use 2 50 cent off coupons out of my 20 items but I was told not to come in there with my coupons..I have never been so disrespected and rude treated by a cashier at a store and was refused to buy my items...the cashier was Gwen and Cathy manager who said I couldnt come in there supposedly was Heather which she nvr said this to me and like I said I dont use alot of coupons or go in there all time or anything like that...but I thought dollar tree welcomed coupons and coupners well that is not the case and I am glad to see that discrumpledcashiers who are just upset bc they were corrected when trying to make up rules that were not right at all decides she doesnt want a cousin the store bc she felt and excuse my language like a *** bc I knew more about the coupon policy than she did...so I was just wondering when dollar tree left these decisions to the cashier who was obviously in the wrong and dodnt wasnt to admit it. And how can u tell someone they cant shop at ur store w ur coupons when u did nothing wrong?

Employee not wearing mask

I walked in and got my things and there was a long line. The cashier picks up the phone and presses the ring button 3 times.

The other cashier had her mask below her nose and just gave the other cashier a look like what. She finally comes to check out as she is checking me out her mask never goes above her nose, and she wipes her nose with her hand and continues to scan my things. I was very upset. In Arkansas its mandatory to wear a mask inside stores and its on their door.

I felt bad for the other cashier because she was doing everything she could do.

If I'm wearing a mask you need to be too and wiping her nose and continue to scan my stuff made me very uncomfortable. I don't complain but this upset me.

Horrible service!

I came into this location at 8 a.m. on 10 - 2 - 20. I was greeted by a lady who was not nice who yelled at me and told me it was senior hours only which was fine but after I was asked to leave she let a homeless man in with a cart full of trash to shop and even let him bring his cart inside the location and I was asked to leave and I feel discriminated against and if it's for seniors that's fine, but she let a drug addict homeless man in the store and I was asked to leave for no reason. I then went home and called the manager on duty and she hung the phone up on me. Absolutely horrible service.

When you enter the store you never greeted by the staff the place is always shorthanded and boxes are always everywhere the managers are always yelling at each other or being rude to each other or other staff I saw this on numerous occasions I just want to come and purchase a couple items not to see a whole show corporate needs to come and straighten this place out

Associates not wearing masks

Matagorda County Texas. Palacios store. Two associates working in aisles with no masks. County over 500 cases. Governor mandate any county with more than. 22 cases wear mask. No social distancing when in isle stocking shelves. Customers also without masks. Will not buy from again. Was a weekly customer. Lack of care and consideration of others during pandemic. Get your mind around PANDEMIC. Do all you can to stop this. One person at a time.

Rudest cashier

I am a regular client at the dollar tree at Geneva in Daly City C.A. for 5 years and I have never had a situation. I went to the dollar tree today to buy some groceries gave the cashier a $10 bill and bought 4 items that were food. I calmly told her you were supposed to give me $6 and I got only $4. She replied and I quote WELL YOUR GONNA HAVE TO WAIT! and rolled her eyes at me, way off to be a response towards a client. Where is the customer service here? I stand there patiently waiting. After attending the other customers she calls the supervisor to request her for help. When the supervisor came she started mugging and looked at me and rolled her eyes again. What did I do wrong? Ask for my $2 that are mine? It was a pretty tense situation and I fell humiliated. At this moment I raised my voice and told her to remember that the customers are the one paying her check, because if there is no clients shes not needed or am I mistaken? I requested her name and told her I was going to report the incident. She didnt look or respond to me and covered her name tag. The supervisor ask her are you are going to tell her? She didnt respond nothing to her so the supervisor ended telling me her name is May. Please give customer service training to this associate she really need it.

Harassing customers

Your store clearly displays your hours of operation. If you all are going to start closing 15 minutes before the time that is listed then you all need to change your hours of operation because this makes the customers experience very bad when your store employees are marching throughout each isle 15 mins before you close and harassing customers to hurry up because you all are closing, when really by the hours of operation that are listed for this store clearly say otherwise.

This type of experience is negative for the customer regardless of the establishment. Im spending my hard earned money with YOUR company vs another competitor.

Im supporting this company and am a paying customer, Im sure your corporate office wouldnt be happy to know that you all are harassing customers to leave and are shutting down early because now your loosing out on sales. Extremely unsatisfied &;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; your employees at this location need another training on customer service.
