Disappointment of Price increase
Dear Dollar Tree Affiliates-
As many, I am highly disappointed with the 25% price rate increase of your products in stores. I am a mother or young children and an elementary school teacher.
I am your target customer. Every year for the holidays and the end of the school year...I purchased affordable gifts for my students. During the start of the pandemic, I would purchase 80-100 craft/toy items to keep my children happy while stuck at home. I've been to The Dollar Tree once since the cost of items went up an entire quarter.
I was upset. My 50 something items cost me close to $70. I went to the Dollar Tree for the even $1 price point. You have changed the game and will likely lose more customers like me-your best ones.
The mommies and the teachers walk in ready to spend over at least $50 each time. We will not be doing this from now on. Many teachers have shared other places to purchase classroom supplies and treats for a lower price. I knew there were items I could get at better quality at Walmart or on Amazon-but it was that "Everything's a Dollar" slogan that kept me returning.
This drastic price change in your company's structure will essentially cost you the best, most loyal customers that shopped your stores for many years.
I am disappointed in the Dollar Tree (plus 1/4 more) Store changing their model that will clearly impact those the really benefited from that $1 price point. Don't worry about the elderly couple that goes in to grab 2 bags of snacks, they'll still be your customers.

Verified ReviewerI never received my order
I placed an order for 48 sticker/activity/educational work books for by class of 15 three year old children. These books were part of their Christmas present to them from me.
I placed this order on November 21. I receive notification that I would receive these books on December 9, however, I did not receive the books or any other notification. I began calling dollar tree and when I finally got through I was told that half my order was cancelled. I told the representative that I was never notified of this cancellation and why was it cancelled but she had no answers for me except that notification might be in my spam folder (which it was not).
She also told me that my remaining order was in Farmingdale, NY. I was hopeful because Farmingdale is close to Woodside NY but I have still never received the books or any form of notification.

My story has not got much attention. The worker is still there.
I guess she has had some issues with some of her family members being really sick. My heart goes out to her but that still doesn’t excuse her attitude snd dressing down her coworkers that she is over in...
Poor thing looked like she was about to cry. I shopped at dollar tree a lot and now I wont be back because of this managers attitude towards the people she oversees. This isnt the first time with this manager I have witnessed her attitude in front of the shoppers In the store. You have lost me as a customer do to this person in your employ.
I hope that all your stores dont have this kind of display with co workers.
Because I may never return back to shopping at any of your dollar tree stores. I wont be telling people to go to dollar tree,It will be at dollar general where they know how to be professional.

I need to make a complaint about a manager
See other I went into the store to buy some Christmas decorations for my two children ages six and four. I spent around $37 and then remembered that I needed to add money to a green dot card.
Now, I add money to this green dot card almost every other day but its usually at *** and gos convenience store or other gas stations in the area. When I asked Alice to as an associate she said her manager would have to do so. So, chance the manager walks up and says please come to another register I can do that for you. He Anderson all the stop says its $21 a hand him the money and he said slide your card.
So I slide my card he says says its unavailable to load. I say OK well I use his card and do this almost every other day. Then I suggested walking we try using the chips if thats any different he said sure. So when it came time to put the chip in and I put it in I pulled it out it said slide the card so I looked a chance and said should I swipe the card and he goes I dont know and I said well thats what it says and he says well then I guess why the card.
And I said OK it doesnt seem to be working do you know why and he goes I dont know youre the one who does this every other day with an attitude.
So I look at him and say you dont have to be rude and he closes it out and walks away. I extremely rude not helpful and expecting the customer to know how to load money on a card that is his job is completely unnecessary behavior and for me
User's recommendation: Seek out other stores

Get over yourself. Wow, the price went up a whole 25 cents so go rant about how you are too cheap to buy stuff for $1.25 instead of a dollar. Go somewhere else then and buy the same products for $2-$3 more.
While you have a point that other places it will cost 2 or 3 dollars more, when you usually buy 50-100 items it all adds up. But at the same time prices will increase everywhere not decrease. These places I heard used to be called the five and dime store in the 60's and 70's where things cost 5 or ten cents.
What’s your alternative? Where are you going to go?
