stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Took plastic boxes back to exchange. (Policy right on receipt)) was told it was over 30 days. and they would not do anything. Called 877 number, and they called the manager of Latrobe store. I was told to bring the boxes back and an exchange would be made. Clerk and manager were not overjoyed to see me.

I didn't get paid

I worked at the dollar the at 4500 e palm valley blvd ste 118. I got sick and couldn't work. I worked 15 hours and got paid for 5. I have tried to contact manager and he doesn't return my calls. i would like my money since the registers where I had to clock in and out was not working correctly, their way was to count the number of times you hit tab. this is NO way to clock in nor out. I was manager of retail for years and have never seen anything like this. the amanagement team is not good at training and said the company did not care about the employees.

Complaint against employee

Youngstown Dollar Tree in Jeffersonville, IN. Employee went down into a rage and threw my items to return further behind her and away from me then stormed out of the store. The customer behind me came to me in the parking lot and said she was appalled at the clerks behavior. From my analysis as a retired store trainer, this employee could use some additional training in customer service skills. My items were kept by the employee.

The manager if the store on 1792 in Sanford FL. Comes running out the store yells to me to not come in HIS store.

As a paying customer I should not be treated like I committed a crime. I've never had any bad concerns till this manager came. I am a 66 year old senior citizen and also regular paying customer. No crime was committed.

This is the second time he has threatened me. First time police was called he actually threw my money on the floor. I He actually came out the store and yells while I was getting in my car, to me this is a threat.

Action should be taken, I don't know this man intention, nor does he know mine when confronted. Thank you.

What did you do? They don't throw you out and call the police for nothing and you know it.

Stay out of his store. He can legally enforce that if he so desires. Do you want to get arrested ?

Employment

I went to work after we got 6 in of snow in Minnesota and the ice was packed up by the door the entrance to the building I had a customer come and complain about it being icy and how she almost slipped so I proceeded outside to scrape the ice off of the sidewalk with public safety and health and also employee safety and health in mind not even 2 minutes after I started scraping off the ice I got a call from Elizabeth my store manager streaming at me over the phone that that is not my place that I am not supposed to touch the ice by the door even though I even almost slipped then she proceeded to tell me as after I had left due to my mental health issues and not wanting to get in a confrontation knowing that things could go bad really fast so I got my car and I left the situation for a little bit to try to calm down she proceeded to text me chewing my *** telling me that I am fired for insubordination and Valkyrie now the vulgari I don't understand because I wasn't the one being hostile but after this and after the fact that I knew that I was done and I had apologized to her she turned around and put through my apology in my face and then continued to tell me that I shouldn't have a job if I have such a bad temper and that I need to learn how to deal with my issues I feel that I was treated unfairly I feel that somebody has offended me in a way that I do not know how to handle I personally feel that she needs to be fired but thank you for your time thank you for your opportunities have a good day

I have items that I didn't leave the store with and would like to amount of the purchase

I felt cornered with no one to care about how I was treated as a customer. I spend money at dollar tree stores and the products are usually priced low..

anywhere from a dollar to one dollar twenty five cents. All I asked the cashier was to check my total payment for...

Original review Nov 17, 2022
I made a purchase for thirty eight dollars on Tuesday November 15, 2022. I questioned the total price of my purchase but realizes prices have gone up.

While I was speaking with the cashier, I realized my wallet was missing. So I asked her to hold it a moment because I had not moved since I had taken my card out. The cashier continued to ring up the next customer putting their items right on top of my stuff. So as I looked for my little wallet, I found it covered up with the next customer's goods.

I'm really upset and feeling very disrespected by now. So as I waited for the manager, I said rather not accept the items and would take my business elsewhere. I was told that Dollar tree store do not give refunds. Plus I hadn't exited the store with the receipt right where the cashier put it.

I told the cashier that I wanted my money out back on my card.

She refused. After being treated as though I was invisible, I got my bags and left.

Preferred solution: Clarification on the rules. They said they can't do refunds regardless of the situation. Trainings on good customer service practices. I was not angry but I do feel like the incident could have been handled differently.

User's recommendation: If a customer is dissatisfied with an order, someone should should look into the matter for a resolution to satisfy the customer and not just looked over.

Manager issues

Yesterday I went to Ivy Ridge dollar Tree. El was restocking infront of the one register the other lady was using.

That was the only register open.. I'm not sure if El was irritated that she had to stop for that.

Today I went back for a few more items. I go there ALL the time. Last year 2 kids went into the bathroom and were starting a fire in there and another veteran and I went back to help with that.

I know the staff know me there.

Today it was busy. When the line gets long it always gets directed down the isle with the snack cakes...I believe that is isle 7. Today a rude woman who was black was irritated that the line down isle 8 was moving slow. Instead of being patient ...as there were 3 registers open...she raised a stink.

El told us that those who were in isle 7 were wrong and validated the impatient woman. El is also a woman of color and I felt this was motivated by race.

I called the store to verify that the line always goes down isle 7.

Paula picked up and said "yes, usually, I don't know what went on today" I asked for the other ladies name and she said her name is El.

I'm not sure if this was racially motivated or because I unconvenenced her the night before but I strongly recommend you help El to understand that fairness and not letting personal feelings get in the way of good judgment be her motivator.

I will continue to go to that store and she will see me again.

Today was absurd and she peeved me off and all the other regular, patient customers who were in the correct line and being patient.

El threw my receipt in the trash. In this instance I would liked to have had it.

Pros:
  • Usually awesome
Cons:
  • Few bad staff can drive away good staff and loyal customers

Preferred solution: Make a note of this and ensure the line flow is clearly identified so cranky staff can't power trip. Usually this store is such a joy to shop at. I hope it stays that way.

User's recommendation: Stand up for fairness
