Complaint against employee
The employee stated she was the manager . With that said I need to exchange unopened candy purchased for 4 Kids (which was to be a Valentines present) .
The conversation elevated when she raised her voice, grabbed the package, and threw it behind her then proceeded to stomp out the door like a mad kid.
Having been a store trainer for a large department store, I find this behavior unacceptable for a Store Manager.
Perhaps customer service skills review is warranted.
Needless to say, I lost the $5 and will be going elsewhere to purchase these gifts.
This unfortunate incident occurred at the Youngstown Dollar Tree in Jeffersonville, IN

Poor customer service: today I stop by my local dollar store in Rocklin California I was there to exchange merchandise that I bought just before Christmas. It happened to be candycane shot glasses Well we never opened them they are still tight in plastic and since the receipt says I will read it verbatim we gladly exchange any unopened items with original receipt we do not offer refunds so I went in with the original receipt and I was turned away and told that they will not refund any food items When I started to question it the woman cut me off and repeated herself to where the attention of many customers started to stair.
From there I walked out and made a phone call to the manager who got snarky and backed the worker up.
I told him what the receipt said at which he said well we can give you $.25 on the dollar And I repeatedly said that is not what the read receipt says. He said take it up with corporate and so thats what Im doing.

My husband and I was in the store for 5 or 10 minutes shopping when the store manager accused my husband for stealing. He snatched items out his hands and told him to leave the store.
When I asked the store manager what happened he ignored me and continued to ask us to leave. The store manager said he saw us in there stealing earlier when that was our first-time ever going into that store. We live in Dallas and traveled to Fort Worth to meet a friend. Before we was leaving I saw the store by the freeway and decided to stop and pick up some items we needed.
I don't appreciate being accused of stealing and being put out of store for no reason. I will be contacting a lawyer about this matter.

EMPLOYEE WAS RUDE AND UNPROFROFESSIONAL.
I went to the dollars store close to my house. When checking out I went to a line that had the light on and I put my things on the belt.
The other cashier called for "Robyn" to come to her register because she was stocking at the time. The store wasn't extremely busy and the store looked decent for once. When Robyn asked "Why" the cashier said you have a customer and said loudly "SO WHAT" ! I then responded that is how you respond to customers?
Robyn then stated "Well I'm Closed". Which her light was on so I said well don't you think you should turn your light off then? The other cashier said to Robyn she was sorry that I had already put my things down and with that I said don't apologize, she had her light on and on top of that you don't respond to customers so rudely. She ended up ringing my things up but from that incident to another which was a few days later, I go back in to get something else and this time the cashier was very nice but the manager there was horrible!
She's yelling at cashier to take a break while she's checking someone out. My cashier said as soon as she was done ringing me up. The manager once again scolds the cashier so I said "Is there a problem with this store employees"?
My cashier said that's her manager but I'm like this is ridiculous how the majority of these employee's are. Dollar Tree I know you cant get people to work but Maybe you should get or train better employees to do the job so you can keep the customers.

All I can say is strength in numbers someone has to expose all the illegal activities. I am A ops manager in Virginia I have no idea why I am still at this company. We all need to come together and demand better pay you know we should have a GRREN OUT DAY JULY3 RD Spread the word
